‘We first heard Victoria sing when we were out for dinner on our weekend away, at a gorgeous restaurant in Cirencester. For the entirety of our meal we thought the gorgeous, beautifully played (and sung) music we were enjoying, was an album playing through the speakers. It wasn’t until we moved from the restaurant to the bar that we realised it was all coming from one woman, sat at her piano, with one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Our wedding was a few months away at the time and I had already chosen ‘Song Bird’ by Eva Cassidy as the song I wanted to walk down the isle to - so when Victoria started to sing it that night, it felt like fate that we had found her and I knew we had ask her to play it at our wedding. After booking Victoria, we sadly had to postpone the wedding three times (due to the pandemic) - but she was so sweet about it and so accommodating when we were desperately trying to find other suitable dates that worked for all our suppliers. Sixteen months later we finally had our wedding and Victoria was utter perfection. She was there early to set up so I got to have a little chat with her before all the guests arrived. She had clocked the big piano in the grand hall we were getting married in and asked if she could play that instead of her keyboard, which I was of course delighted with! And wow did she look the part. Beautiful. Victoria played piano to our guests for over half an hour before my bridesmaids and I arrived to walk the isle. I had asked Victoria not to sing until this point because I wanted her voice to be a bit of a surprise to the guests and hoped it would give people that ‘goosebump’ moment that I had when I first heard her sing. Hearing the piano as I came down the stairs with my dad and seeing all our guests sat around it is a moment I will never forget. Then when Victoria started singing I saw tears, I saw mouths drop, I saw heads turn in disbelief! All exactly what I’d hoped for! She then played for another couple of hours after the ceremony, as we enjoyed drinks and canapés with our guests to her gorgeous music. So many people said to us ‘wow, where did you find her?!’ and commented on how amazing she was. Victoria is so amazingly talented. She is a talented pianist but for me it’s her voice. I’m a singer too so I am a tough critic but her voice is so unique, smooth like silk and she sounds so incredibly effortless. Talent aside, she is just such a professional. We absolutely adore her and we actually feel quite sad that the wedding is over and we have nothing coming up that we could book her again for. Will just have to settle for coming to Cirencester again for another visit to Teatro!’

Victoria draws out all of the emotion in a song with every chord she plays and every note she sings. She is technically superb, but her connection to the music she delivers always feels personal and visceral. She is a joy to listen to. Pure class.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

People tend to comment on the authenticity of my performances, the quality of my voice and the emotion and feeling behind it all.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have sung at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, at Glastonbury Festival, Boisdale's, Bristol Beacon, St George's (Bristol), 100 Club, North Sea Jazz Festival (Holland), Reduta Jazz Club (Prague), on live TV and radio in France and Spain...

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love the old jazz singers like Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Wilson, Blossom Dearie etc... But I also love classic songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, James Taylor, Beatles etc... I have also sung a lot of classical, music theatre and choral music in my time so those things influence me too.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably Ronnie Scott's! My dream venue. <3

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always be as flexible as I possibly can to accommodate changes. Just keep in communication with me and I will do my level best to work with you and other service providers.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I'm sorry, but at the moment I can't really do this as I don't use a full PA set-up for my solo gigs.

How much time do you need to set up?

An hour is ample time for me to set-up.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

I would be more than happy to do this on the condition that it's working well and in tune.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You're welcome to make requests and select certain songs, even tell me which ones to avoid if necessary.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I bring all my own insured equipment with me.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I can learn a reasonable amount of requests for you in advance, but please give me ample time to learn them.
